Like all Northern breeds, with proper grooming, they shed twice a year the Spring shed the heaviest especially if they stay outdoors in cold weather.

Yes, as long as they are acclimated slowly to the temperature change. They do have the double coat that insulates against the cold as well as the heat.

They like to run and can run very fast. However, unlike the Siberian, they do not run "away" because they want to be close to "their people". They are first and foremost "lap dogs".
