Available Alaskan Klee Kai PuppiesDecember 25, 2024 I need a forever home for this little guy He is a one year old, toy size neutered gray and white male with blue eyes. He was purchased as a prospective toy size stud dog for my little girl. However at one year of age he was neutered because he only had one descended testicle. Because of his personality he needs a home without any other dogs or cats. He is fine with people, although very shy. He will need time/patience to settle into his new forever home call me and we'll talk more... Marilyn Butler Jim and Marilyn Butler welcome you to our web site. We invite you to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy your visit as we share our Doggie Adventures with you. We hope you'll return often to share our latest and ongoing saga. Because of our originally being located in the Helderberg Mountains of New York State (just SW of Albany, NY), and with the purchase of our first two Siberians in 1977, HELDERBERG HUSKY KENNEL was born, an adventure which was to become a "full time" hobby lasting almost thirty years. In August of 1999 we sold our home of thirty years outside of Albany and moved to our log cabin on the shores of Schroon Lake in the Adirondack Mountains of NYS. Yes, dreams really do come true . . . and another adventure was ahead of us! Little did we realize how much of an adventure awaited us. On September 6, 2001 our "Adventure" became a nightmare. We had a horrible house fire... and lost most everything. We saved four Alaskan Klee Kai (Expectant Mothers) who on schedule in turn presented us with new life... all healthy puppies and a sign of hope. Also some important papers, sentimental photographs and snap shots were saved long - all be it soggy and wet! Just six days after the fire our country experienced the horrific tragedy of 9/11, which certainly minimized our own. During the next year we began the rebuilding process while living in a house we rented. It was a busy and exciting year, working with contractors, shopping for basic necessities and then furnishings for the new home Ultimately Jim and I are blessed with a beautiful new home and all new possessions... and we are now making new memories. To begin your adventure at Helderberg, we invite you to choose between our SIBERIAN ADVENTURE (A breif history) and our ALASKAN KLEE KAI ADVENTURE. For those of you not familiar with the breed known as the Alaskan Klee Kai (a true mini-husky) we wish to introduce you to the newest rare breed in the World of Dogs. . . ."The Alaskan Husky in Miniature"
